Every October hundreds of bloggers join the #Write31Days challenge to write every day for 31 days on one topic. It is a great opportunity to really hone your skills as a writer and develop a good writing habit.
I have wanted to participate in Write 31 Days for a couple of years now, but I have always–for lack of a better term–chickened out. However, this year I am finally taking the plunge. I am going to write and publish a post every day for the next 31 days.
My blog tagline is “Enjoying the Everyday Life.” I have written before about what enjoying the everyday life means to me and how important it is. However, during one particularly hectic week I realized I definitely was not enjoying the everyday life. Now I know things cannot and will not be all sunshine and roses all the time, but I was not enjoying anything. Everything seemed like an annoyance and just something to check off the to-do list to move on to the next item. This realization led me to the perfect theme for the Write 31 Days challenge: 31 Days of Enjoying the Everyday Life.
My plan is to stop every day for the next 31 days and notice something ordinary and note why it is actually extraordinary. I want to pick a moment (or more) each day that allows me to focus of the joy and the good of day-to-day life.
So here’s to the next 31 days! I hope you will join me in enjoying the everyday life!
