Five Minute Friday: Motivate

Five Minute Friday instructions: Write for five minutes on the word of the week. This is meant to be a free write, which means: no editing, no over-thinking, no worrying about perfect grammar or punctuation. Just write.

The New Year always seems to bring about the desire to try something new or achieve certain goals. Possibly ones that were left unfinished the year before. (Ahem, not that I have any personal experience with that.:)) I entered this year ready and motivated to conquer some goals. I am still ready and motivated, but just five days into the New Year and life is getting in my way. One goal I have this year is to manage my time more effectively. I ordered a nice new planner (I love planners!) that includes an hourly schedule for the day. I am determined to schedule my hours and by doing that implement some good habits into my life. Well, this first week did not cooperate well with my hourly schedule. So I switched to making my schedule in erasable pen. Because we all know that life requires a certain amount of flexibility. So I am still motivated and hoping to incorporate good time management and flexibility with a good attitude (ahem, again) into my days.

  1. Hi Dana, I am also engaging in a good planner this year. I did a lot of work before I got started and I am praying it will be an additional tool for keeping on track. I pray the best for you this year as you move towards your goal but also remain flexible. 🙂

    Have a wonderful weekend!
